Meet our team

Graham Woolley is Excel Packaging’s founder and Managing Director. His boundless enthusiasm, encyclopaedic knowledge, and unwavering determination to be the absolute best at what we do is the beating heart of the business. When not at his desk, he is a keen fly fisherman and seems to possess the uncanny knack of bagging the ‘big one’ even when the fish don’t look like they’re biting!

Mimoun Elhoussaini (Hussaini) is our operations manager and also Excel’s resident guru on all composite packaging, foam, honeycomb, wood, the list goes on! He has the ability to visualise a pack concept in his head and instinctively knows whether a design is likely to work (or not), which is a handy skill to have. With 35 years experience under his belt, he is the ‘rock’ and an all round top professional.

Jane Keough is our Office manager. She is an invaluable team player and with years of experience, she oversees sales order processing and our office administration. Jane also keeps us all in check (no mean feat), which is why she still enjoys the occasional glass of prosecco!

Peter Woolley is our Sales/Production Co-Ordinator, a role which links the sales office and the factory. He is a calm and pragmatic member of the team and stays cool under pressure. His industry knowledge is constantly growing as he learns by experience and from the team members around him. He is a keen tennis player, football supporter and rugby supporter, and loves a bit of drum and base!

With a long and distinguished career in finance, Helen has quickly earned the nickname of ‘wizard of accounting’ and has very quickly become a valued member of the Excel team. In warmer weather, she can be found riding to work on her E-bike (it helps with those Harefield hills), and provides invaluable support to Jane during our busier periods, as well as making sure all of our invoices are paid on time (you know who you are!)

 Kurtis originally worked for our other business Epic Insulation (sold in 2024) for a number of years and moved across to Excel Packaging to continue his journey with us following the sale of Epic. Kurtis is by far the ‘fittest’ member of the Excel team and is an avid member of a gym, as well as occasionally competing in park runs. His calm and positive outlook on life is an inspiration to us all!

Naveed Akhter is our Design and CNC Supervisor. He works closely with Hussaini to visualise, design and manufacture prototype packaging concepts. Once a design has been approved, and a production order received, he oversees all CNC manufacturing to ensure the finished product is produced to the agreed specification. Naveed (Nav for short) really enjoys eating out and is gradually working his way around every decent restaurant in the UK!

Alex Birdsall is one of the newest and youngest members of our team. He is a trainee Designer and CNC Machine Operator, and is as sharp as a tack! He is becoming increasingly adept at drawing up complicated CNC designs, and manages to juggle his day admirably between designing and running one of our CNC machines. When not juggling, he is a keen footballer and plays in goal for his local team.
 

Krzysztof Krus is our Factory Supervisor. His role is to oversee all the Machine Operators in the factory, making sure production runs smoothly and that orders are completed on time. He is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. He may also be an avid Marvel fan (can you tell?)
