Stratocell® is a lightweight, closed cell Polyethylene foam available in 3 different densities. It is clean, lightweight, non-abrasive, resistant to water and has good insulation properties.
Commonly referred to as ‘Polyether’ or ‘soft polyurethane foam’ (PU), this type of foam is an open-cell, flexible foam that boasts a seemingly endless range of applications.
Plastazote® and Evazote® foams are closed cell cross-linked expanded polyethylene foams (LDPE) available in a wide range of different colours and densities.
With the advent of some revolutionary new materials, Excel are pleased to announce the launch of our ‘trademarked’ product range of more-sustainable protective foam packaging options called Envirafoam.
Envirafoam® R (Stratocell® R) is a closed-cell polyethylene foam with a minimum of 65% recycled content. It is clean, lightweight, non-abrasive, resistant to water and has good insulation properties.

Envirafoam® ’Panda’ is our latest innovation in environmentally conscious packaging solutions. The material combines the strength and sustainability of our Black Envirafoam® R (65% recycled content) and white polyethylene foam (30% recycled content) into a composite material, offering both a clean, white appearance and a high level of recycled content.
Ply-batten refers to a type of plywood case that uses timber battens to fix the case together. We manufacture bespoke ‘made to measure’ wooden crates and cases which are produced to a very high standard utilising ISPM-15 certified wood.
